Apprentice Plumber

Department: 18 - Field Labor
Location: Roseville, CA

Essential Job Functions

  • Reports to different worksites to complete required tasks/projects.
  • Delivers quality, efficiency, productivity, and safe work practices.
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a clean environment.
  • New construction, remodels, retrofits, and repairs of interior and exterior structures.
  • Assist in the assembly, installation, and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures of water and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
  • Maintains and services tools and equipment used to perform duties.
  • Measure, cut, thread, solder, and bend pipes to required angles using hand and power tools.
  • Hang steel supports from ceiling joists to hold pipes in place.
  • Install underground sanitary and water piping systems.
  • Cleans and prepares construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Organizes building materials as needed.
  • Responsible for working safely adhering to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self-protection and protecting co-workers, sub-contractors, the public, and the client by supporting all Company safety efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Commercial/industrial plumbing experience.
  • Knowledgeable of relevant codes, regulations, and ADA requirements is a plus.
  • Certification in equipment operation and other pertinent areas is a plus.
  • Experience with copper, cast iron, and ABS/PVC.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Strong commitment to company goals and values.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Friendly and positive attitude.
  • Dependable, organized team player.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment alongside multiple trades.
  • Flexibility – must be able to manage changes and work demands.

  • Professionalism – must be able to maintain a professional demeanor consistently.
  • Must be able to multi-task, have strong attention to detail, and have excellent time management skills to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

  • Must possess or obtain an appropriate state driver’s license before employment, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
